Would it be possible for you to post the results from the auction? I think it was over $15,000 but I was also wondering about what some of the items actually ended up selling for.

urgent help needed

My deadline for the magazine copy is tomorrow (but will have to be extended and the magazine may well be later than I had hoped). I have had virtually no repsonse to my request for copy.

I am looking for descriptive pieces that will paint a picture for those who weren't there and bring back memories for those who were. Since I did not get to attend anything except the part of the dinner and the party, I can't comment and I need your input.

I still need something on the following:

Registration - what was it like meeting your friends for the first time or renewing acquaintances, what did you see, what did you buy etc.

DVDS - what was it like watching with a group, what was your favorite

Dinner - did you enjoy the dinner, who did you sit with, what did you think of the speakers, what did everyone look like in their dresses etc, what were the decorations like etc.

Special dvds and extras - what was on the special dvds, did you join in with the quiz, or watch the Where were You, slides.

History seminar - did you enjoy it was it helpful to those who write, what was talked about.

Writers Seminar - do you write, are you a beginner, did you contribute, did you find it helpful, what did Wendy and Susan say.

Panels - who was on them - what questions were asked, what stories were told

Flapjack contest - did you participate if so what was it like, who won, what was it like to watch and do you liek the episode

Costumes - surely someone can do a fashion piece on those fabulous costumes

Closing ceremony - what happened - who spoke - what was said about the past or the future, what was it like knowing things were ending

I also need more on the Party - the music, the dancing, the buffet, the dresses and the contest, the games, etc.

and on the Dixie, the food, the company, where did it go, the scenery.

All this is needed plus as we have a postal strike in the UK and my photo CD has not arrived, the issue may be delayed.

please help!

anthology feedback

Bev suggested this as she wanted to feedback to authors who wrote stories in the anthology.

So if anyone would like to give feedback, here is the place to do it. Hopefully our authors will pick up on it and reply to any questions too.

I jsut want to thank all the authors, judges, editors and proofers who made it all possible.

Plans are afoot to try to do an annual anthology, so keep watching

My husband and I attended the convention and got 2 of the Cartwright little figures. I was wondering if there is a way to order the others. They were so cute on the tables at the dinner. If not, is there a way to contact the distributor?

Order forms for magazine special issue, tee shirts, mugs and dvd are now on the webpage. Deadline for mugs, tee shirts and magazine is 7th November.
mugs and tee shirts will be made to order and then despatched as soon after we receive them as possible. Magazine is order only (there will be no back issues) - expected publication is to be ready by end of the year. Watch the forum for up to date info.

anthology order form is also there - (we have a stock of about 60 left, so don't delay)

If you are an author, editor, proof reader of the anthology and did not attend the convention, then your comp copy will be mailed shortly.

Pre-orders received before the convention will also be sent out. We have a total of 65 to mail and hope to do this next week.

If you haven't placed an order you can still do so on the website.

First I want to say thank you to all who helped make the convention a success. I hope everyone is home safely or if not yet home will be there soon.

As you know we are planning a convention issue of Gold, it will be 32 pages and an order form will be available shortly. It will be for pre-order only one pre-payment.

I hope to fill it with some of Bailey's superb photos but I need those of you who attended the convention to help out. I expect a few photos of our guys might slip in there as well!

I am looking for a paragraph on each of the events at the convention - some events will lend themselves to longer paragraphs than others (but aim for no more than 500 words). So if you would like to report on one of the events, send me your text by email to vicki.christian@ntlworld.com) no later than 16th October. I will choose the ones I think best reflect the event and illustrate them with Bailey's shots (or your own if you have a particularly good one. Enter as many categories as you like.

Please title your email with one of the following:

I remember well the day four years ago - first visiting Virginia City and see this beautyful city where Mark Twain lived and worked. Posing in front of the "Bucket of Blood" - buying a western hat at the hat shop (I think I was hours in this shop).
After this we all drove to the guest ranch where the barbeque was held. These delicious things to eat - yummy.
The whole time I was looking to the hills, hoping to see one of the wild horses, the owner of the ranch spoke of.
Later we heard the wonderful music of singer Lacy Dalton - her CDs I always hear from time to time.
This day was very special to me - every day of the convention 2005 was very special.
I thank you all for this wonderful time - and for this days in remembering I will raise my glass and call: Have so many fun on the convention 2009 like I have had this - four years ago
